Jia Yi Clothing Care Guide: Keep Every High-Quality Garment Looking as Good as New

Sep-15-2025

At Jiayi Clothing, we believe that a good piece of clothing is not only about its design and material, but also about whether it can be cherished for a long time. For this reason, we have sorted out professional washing and maintenance suggestions for core categories for you to help you take scientific care of your clothes and extend their lifespan.

1. Double-sided cashmere coat & cashmere sweater

Washing frequency: Cashmere fibers have natural stain resistance. It is recommended to wash them once a season. On a daily basis, you can gently brush the surface with a soft-bristled brush to remove dust.

Cleaning method: Be sure to check the water washing label. If it can be washed with water, use a neutral detergent specifically for cashmere, keep the water temperature below 30℃, turn it over and soak for 15 minutes, gently press and rub, do not twist.

To dry: Lay it flat on a dry towel to absorb water, then lay it flat to air dry. Avoid direct sunlight and hanging it to prevent deformation and fading.

Storage: After cleaning and drying, wrap it in a dust-proof bag, place it in camphor wood strips or desiccant, and lay it flat in the wardrobe to avoid heavy pressure.

2. Down jacket

Washing frequency: 1-2 times a year is advisable. Excessive washing can damage the fluffiness of the down.

Cleaning method: Dry cleaning is prohibited! Dry cleaning solvents can damage the down oil, resulting in a decline in warmth retention. It is recommended to hand wash or use the "Down jacket" mode of the washing machine, with a neutral detergent and water temperature of 20-30℃.

Rinsing: Rinse thoroughly. You can add a small amount of white vinegar to the last rinse water to neutralize the residual alkalinity.

To dry: Lay it flat or hang it in a well-ventilated area to air dry in the shade, avoiding direct sunlight. After it is completely dry, gently pat the garment to restore its fluffiness.

Storage: Avoid long-term compressed storage. It is recommended to hang it on a wide-shouldered hanger or store it loosely folded.

3. Sweater (wool/synthetic fiber)

Wool/Cashmere sweaters: Follow the same care method as for cashmere. Avoid hot water, alkaline detergents and vigorous friction.

Synthetic fiber sweaters: Machine washable. It is recommended to use a laundry bag, select the gentle mode, and lay them flat to dry to prevent elongation and deformation.

4. Dresses & Suits & Trousers

Silk/chiffon dress: Dry cleaning is recommended. For hand washing, use a special silk-specific agent and gently rinse with cold water. Do not wring it out. Lay it flat to dry.

Everyday dresses/suits/trousers (cotton, polyester, etc.) : Machine washable, flip over for washing to prevent fading, iron at low temperature, and store by hanging or lying flat.

Warm reminder: Before washing all your clothes, please be sure to check the inner washing label. Proper care is the best respect for quality.
